Nebo Elementary School First Lego League
Teams win awards at the Georgia Statewide First Lego League Tournament.
Nebo's two First Lego League (FLL) Teams #1735 and #4446 competed against the top 48 FLL teams from around Georgia at the State First Lego League Tournament at Georgia Institute of Technology on Saturday, January 23rd.
Team #1735 ("The DolphinBots") consists of ten 4th and 5th Grade students from Nebo Elementary School. The DolphinBots won 2nd Place in Robot Design.
Team #4446 ("Greased Lightning") consists of then 4th through 6th graders from Nebo Elementary, Austin Middle School, Dobbins, Middle School, Scoggins Middle School, and South Paulding Middle School. The Greased Lightning Team won 1st Place in Teamwork.
The DolphinBots and Greased Lightning had to design a robot to complete missions related to the theme of Transportation. They also had to complete and present a research project and defend their robot design and programming in front of a panel of computer scientists and engineers. The students worked very hard and we are proud of them!
