The Nebo ASP program and Department of Music are pleased to offer Drama as an ASP program.  ASP Drama will meet on Tuesdays from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.  Up to 30 students in 4th and 5th grade may participate in ASP drama.  ASP Drama will provide students with instruction and experience in acting, blocking, stage presence, delivery of lines, audio/visual technology, set construction and production of a musical in conjunction with the Nebo Chorus.   

Students interested in participating in the ASP Drama will need to meet the following requirements:

• Students must pass an audition (Auditions are Tuesday, January 20th during ASP from 3:00 to 5:00)
• Students must be registered for ASP and attend ASP on the days of Drama Practice
• Students must stay for the entire practice (Usually 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Tuesdays)

For the audition students must memorize the audition script. Click here for audition script.  I suggest practicing as a family with student and parents taking turns..  The student must be prepared to act out any part on the script for the audition.  Judges will look for clarity and expression of voice, ability to get into character and stage presence.

Because the Drama program is part of Nebo ASP, students must stay in ASP on the days they have drama auditions or practice.  Parents must inform homeroom teachers on Mondays that students need to go to ASP.  Parents must also follow Nebo ASP procedures and pick up students in the front lobby of Nebo.  ASP currently charges $6.00 per day.  Refer to Nebo ASP policies for further information on cost.

Students interested in auditioning on must fill out and return the Registration Form to Mr. Michaud by Friday, January 16th.
