Nebo Chorus and Dance

Nebo Elementary Department of Fine Arts after school programs

Greetings!

For the 2011-2012 school year the Nebo Fine Arts Department will offer Chorus and Technology Club as extra-curricular activities that take place after school hours.  Chorus and Technology will no longer be part of ASP and students will not need to stay in ASP to participate in these programs. 

The Schedule for Nebo Fine Arts Activities for the 2011-2012 School Year will be:

Mondays:    
Nebo Chorus (3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades):  2:30 to 3:30 PM (Starts August 22nd)

Thursdays:     
5th Grade Technology Club:  2:30 to 4:00 PM (Starts August 18th)

Fridays:     
4th Grade Technology Club:  2:30 to 4:00 PM (Starts August 19th)

There will be a $15 consumables fee per semester ($30 per year) charged for participation in the Nebo Chorus.  This $15 fee covers Chorus. For Technology Club - the consumables fee will be $30. Students in both Technology and Nebo Chorus only need to pay $30. For students in the same family/household - the maximum family fee will be $30. This fee will cover the cost of the following:

• Art and Technology supplies (paper, craft material, other student consumable items)
• Music for Nebo Chorus
• Fine Arts T-Shirt

The Nebo Elementary Fine Arts Activities are not a part of the Learning Bridge After School Program.  However, students in Learning Bridge’s care may participate in Nebo Elementary Fine Arts Activities.  Learning Bridge students will still need to pay the consumables fee.

Please note that these Fine Arts Activities are not Day-Care.  Students staying in for Fine Arts activities will be expected to work hard and follow Mr. Michaud's standards of behavior and productivity.  Students not meeting the standards of behavior and productivity will be removed from the Nebo Fine Arts Academy.

Because the Nebo Chorus and Technology Club are not a part of ASP, parents need to remember the following:

• Students will be picked up as Car Riders within 15 minutes of the activity finishing time.
• Students not picked up within 15 minutes of dismissal time will be sent to the office and at the discretion of the Administration, the Paulding County Sheriff’s Department may be called and student will be removed from the Nebo Fine Arts Academy programs.
• Students in Learning Bridge After School care will need to have Mr. Michaud and Ms. Queen added to their sign out list.  Learning Bridge Students will return to Learning Bridge after Chorus or Technology Club.

In order to participate in the Nebo Fine Arts Academy’s programs, parents will need to fill out the Fine Arts Academy Registration Form and return it with the check or money order made payable to Nebo Elementary School.  This first payment of $15 for chorus or $30 for Technology Club will cover August, September, October, November, and December Fine Arts Activities. 

If you are interested in participating in the Nebo Fine Arts Academy’s Activities that take place after school hours - please fill out and return the Fine Arts Academy registration form along with a $15 or $30 check made payable to Nebo Elementary School.  Forms and registration fee are due Friday, August 26th.

*Please note that First Lego League Teams require a $60 registration fee.  See Mr. Michaud for more information.  Students in First Lego League Teams will not need to pay the $30 fee for other Nebo Fine Arts Activities.*
