Objective: Create a IEP Goals
Worksheet that lists goals for the student along the left side of the
chart and a weekly chart that indicates when student met their
goals. This spreadsheet will use date formats, multiple text
alignments, merged cells, and text wrapping.
Final product will look like:

Process:
1. Open Microsoft Excel and select "File-New" to create a blank
spreadsheet.
2. Type the following into your worksheet:

3. We will now create Merged Cells and outlines:
a. Left click and select Cells A6 to D6
b. Right click and select "Format Cells" and click the alignment
tab.
c. Select "Wrap Text," "Merge Cells," and click "OK"
4. Merge Cells E6 to I6
a. Left click and select Cells E6 to I6
b. Right click and select "Format Cells" and click the alignment
tab.
c. Select "Wrap Text", "Merge Cells" and click "OK"
5. Type the days of the week into cells E7 through I7
6. Type "SHORT TERM OBJECTIVES" into cell A6. Center this
text with the "center" icon.
7. Type "EVALUATION OF PERFORMANCE" into cell E6. Center
this text with the "center" icon.
8. Merge Cells A8 through D12
a. Left click and select Cells A8 through D12
b. Right click and select "Format Cells" and click the alignment
tab.
c. Select "Wrap Text," "Merge Cells," and "Top" and click "OK"
9. Merge Cells E8 and E9.
10. Copy and Paste the merged E8 cell into F8, G8, H8, and I8.
11. Merge Cells E10 through E12.
12. Copy and Pate the merged E10 cell into F10, G10, H10, and I10
13. We will not make outlines around the cells. Select
merged Cell A6
a. Right Click
b. Select "Format Cells"
c. Click "Border"
d. Click the "Outline" icon.
14. Follow procedure for making borders and make borders around
the following cells:
E6
E7, F8, G8, H8, I8
E10, F10, G10, H10, I10
A8
15. Enter a goal and dates into your chart.
16. Highlight cells A6 through I12.
17. Right Click and select "Copy"
18. Click once on Cell A14.
19. Right Click and Select "Paste." Your formatted Cells will be
pasted into a new area of your worksheet for more goals.
20. Make at least three goals.
21. Save your work as "Lastname exercise 4"
